两名美国共和党参议员公开表示，白宫内部的某个人正在阻止总统 Donald Trump 的司法部长提名人 Todd Blanche 同意阻止设立所谓的“反武器化基金”，该基金面向自称遭联邦政府不公正针对的 MAGA 同盟者。Blanche 在确认程序受阻期间一直以代理司法部长身份任职，而在没有参议院批准的情况下，他可以继续保留这一职位。

在此前的一次采访中，参议员 John Cornyn（R-Texas）说：“But, I don't know, somebody somewhere, I don't know whether it's the White House, or somebody works there or somebody works for the president, is basically telling them don't agree to those terms. And so we're kind of back to square one.”

However, John Cornyn, of Texas, and Thom Tillis, of North Carolina, both of whom I refused to endorse, and whose political careers have been ended by my action, are refusing to vote for this great nominee, who will remain, in any event, as acting [attorney general]. Remember, both Cornyn and Tillis voted for Merrick Garland, and others, too numerous to mention. I have no objection to temporarily withdrawing Todd’s name, if they do not do the right thing, and putting him back after Cornyn and Tillis are out of office.” (Truth Social)
