Pantera Minerals to start maiden drilling for silver and antimony at Gillham
Key Takeaways
- •Pantera Minerals has signed a drilling services contract with Dycus 3D for its Gillham project in southwest Arkansas.
- •The maiden drilling program will comprise 10 diamond core holes for about 1,500 metres.
- •The company is planning the first known drilling at the Gillham project, with work expected to begin next month.
- •Recent sampling reported rock chips grading up to 19.2% antimony and 63.8g/t silver, while soils reached 2,660 ppm antimony.
- •The drilling will test mineralisation beneath the historic Davis, Stewart and May mines, including structures along the Stewart/May trend.

Pantera Minerals (ASX:PFE) is preparing to begin drilling for the first time as it explores for silver and antimony at the historic Gillham project in southwest Arkansas, USA.
The company is targeting drilling to start next month after executing a services contract with Dycus 3D drilling company.
Executive chairman and CEO Barnaby Egerton-Warburton said the signing of the drilling contract marks a major milestone in Pantera’s history.
“Within weeks we will commence the first known drilling ever undertaken at the Gillham project. Our 2026 sampling programs delivered exceptional grades – rock chips up to 19.2% antimony and 63.8g/t silver, and soils peaking at 2,660 parts per million (ppm) antimony – and every one of these 10 holes is designed to test mineralisation at depth beneath the historic Davis, Stewart and May mines.
“Antimony is a designated critical mineral in the United States and with the rig turning in the third week of August, shareholders can look forward to a steady flow of news through the remainder of the year.”
The maiden program will consist of 10 diamond core holes for approximately 1,500 metres. It will test mineralisation at depth beneath the historic workings of the Davis, Stewart and May mines.
The Stewart and May mines historically produced stibnite, which is antimony. Pantera said its 2026 rock chip sampling confirmed and upgraded the prospects with high-grade results.
Soil sampling along the Stewart/May trend identified two coherent antimony anomalies of about 400 metres and 500 metres strike, linked by a broader trend of more than 1 ppm Sb over 2,000 metres of strike. The drilling is designed to test potential east-west mineralised structures beneath the historic workings.
The Davis mine is the largest historical operation in the project area and includes extensive underground development, giving the maiden drill program a clear set of historic targets to assess against the recent surface results.
PFE was unchanged at 1.7 cents, giving the company a market capitalisation of $8.377 million.
