Netweb Technologies India Share Price

Netweb Tech shares rise 4% as Nomura, Goldman Sachs invest in Rs 1,200 crore QIP

Netweb Technologies India shares rose nearly 3.5% to a fresh 52-week high after the company completed its Rs 1,200 crore qualified institutional placement (QIP). Nomura, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund and other institutional investors participated in the fundraise, which came amid strong growth in the company's revenue and profit.

A QIP is a capital-raising route available to listed Indian companies, allowing them to issue shares directly to qualified institutional buyers without a public offering. Because the fresh shares expand the company's equity base, such placements proportionally dilute existing shareholders' stakes. For Netweb, the Rs 1,200 crore raise adds to the capital base of a company that listed on Indian exchanges in July 2023 and specialises in high-end servers, storage, networking and AI infrastructure, including as a manufacturing partner of Hewlett Packard Enterprise in India.

Major institutional allottees

The QIP drew interest from several institutional investors, with Nomura, Goldman Sachs and ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund among the key participants. The presence of global financial institutions alongside a large domestic mutual fund house reflects the mix of institutional buyers on the company's share register, with the full list of allottees disclosed through stock exchange filings.

Capital base expansion and growth outlook

The fundraise is expected to expand Netweb Technologies India's capital base. The placement also comes at a time when the company has reported strong growth in revenue and profit, with Netweb's portfolio spanning AI servers, high-performance computing and data centre infrastructure.

Netweb Technologies India shares touched a fresh 52-week high following the completion of the issue. The company's upcoming quarterly disclosures will show how the augmented capital base is deployed and whether the revenue and profit growth that framed the fundraise has continued.
