Hush Security has raised $11 million in a seed round to expand its AI agent governance platform. The company focuses on identity-based access controls for what the industry calls non-human identities, or NHIs — including AI agents, automated workflows, and machine-to-machine connections that operate without a person at the keyboard.

AI agents need credentials to perform tasks. They access databases, call APIs, trigger workflows, and authenticate with cloud services. In many enterprises, these non-human identities are still managed with static secrets, long-lived API keys, and permissions that are broader than necessary, which makes identity governance a practical issue for security teams as AI use spreads through internal systems.
Hush Security says its platform is designed to address that problem through continuous discovery of AI agents and NHIs across an organization, combined with runtime risk scoring. Rather than relying on static secrets stored in configuration files and vulnerable to theft, the company uses frameworks such as SPIFFE to support what it describes as “secretless” identity management. Under that model, an AI agent does not use a permanent password; instead, the system issues short-lived, scoped credentials that are verified in real time.
CEO Micha Rave has emphasized the challenge organizations face in identifying which AI agents are operating across their infrastructure, before they can govern what those agents are allowed to access. That visibility step matters because access controls are only useful once teams know where non-human identities exist and which services they are connecting to.

The founding team previously built Meta Networks, a zero-trust networking company that Proofpoint acquired for $120 million.
In September 2025, Hush Security closed an $11 million seed round led by Battery Ventures and YL Ventures.
