Lovable lève 400 millions de dollars en série C et atteint une valorisation de 13,3 milliards de dollars

Stockholm-based vibe coding startup Lovable has secured $400 million in a Series C funding round, achieving a valuation of $13.3 billion — more than double the $6.6 billion valuation the company reached last December when it closed a $330 million Series B round. The rapid valuation jump underscores intensifying investor competition for startups positioned at the intersection of AI-assisted development and no-code application building, a space that has drawn backing from major venture firms across multiple geographies.

Silicon Valley venture capital firm Menlo Ventures led the Series C, with co-leadership from the Europe Scaleup Fund, managed by EQT. The Europe Scaleup Fund is a newly established public-private investment vehicle backed by the European Commission, created to support the growth of European companies and reduce the likelihood that the region's most promising startups relocate or are acquired by larger US-based firms before reaching scale.

Lovable, headquartered in Stockholm, has established itself as one of the most prominent beneficiaries of the vibe coding movement — an approach that leverages AI-powered tools and automated processes to enable individuals with minimal programming experience to develop functional applications using straightforward text prompts. The term "vibe coding" was popularized in early 2025 by AI researcher Andrej Karpathy, and the category has since attracted a wave of startups and incumbents, including players such as Cursor developer Anysphere, Replit, and StackBlitz's Bolt.

The company reports that applications built on its platform now attract approximately 900 million visits per month. According to Lovable, several major enterprises are currently using its products to build new software and replace legacy tools, including Adidas, Nvidia, and Deutsche Telekom. Enterprise adoption signals that vibe coding platforms are moving beyond hobbyist use into tools that organizations are willing to entrust with production workloads, a shift that places growing emphasis on security, compliance, and integration depth.

While Lovable describes its early focus as helping users "turn an idea into software," the company has steadily expanded its platform with additional capabilities. Recent enhancements include payment functionality, improved SEO and AI-powered search tools, deeper integrations with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, and automatic security scanning.

With the new funding secured, Lovable has outlined a series of planned improvements. These include more proactive software designed to better anticipate what customers are attempting to build, as well as the development of its data loop to maximize the success rate of applications created on the platform.

The company also plans to grow its workforce from just over 200 employees to approximately 450. In addition, Lovable intends to expand geographically, opening new offices in Boston, San Francisco, New York, and London while maintaining its Stockholm headquarters.

The Series C round drew participation from a broad group of new international investors. These included London-based Balderton Capital, Paris-based Carmignac, Latin American firms Kaszek Ventures and LTS Growth, Tencent and World Innovation Lab from Asia, and U.S. private equity firm Regent. Previous investors Accel, Antler, Alphabet-owned Capital G, and Salesforce Ventures also returned for the round.
