Global marine fuel supplier and trading firm Monjasa is recruiting a supply trader to be based in Singapore, one of the world's largest and most strategically important bunkering hubs.

In a job advertisement published on its careers website, Monjasa said it is seeking candidates with prior experience in the bunker or shipping industry. The application deadline is August 7.

Founded in Denmark and headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, Monjasa operates a global network of offices and a fleet of bunker tankers and barges. The port's prominence is underpinned by stringent licensing and quality standards overseen by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), which helps sustain confidence among shipowners calling at the port.

The supply trader role encompasses the following core responsibilities, as outlined by Monjasa:

• Develop and maintain strong, stable relationships with bunker suppliers
• Engage in daily trading activities, interacting with colleagues both locally and internationally
• Analyse and develop relationships with new bunker suppliers
• Handle operational tasks to ensure effective coordination between bunker suppliers and customers for timely deliveries
