Diablo Resources (ASX: DBO) has commenced drilling at its North Star Prospect, part of the company’s Star Range Critical Minerals Project in south-west Utah.

CEO Lyle Thorne has provided a first-hand update from the project site, where the drill rig is now operational and targeting mineralisation identified through previous exploration.

The current program is testing multiple targets, including high-grade surface veins and nearby geophysical anomalies. Historical sampling at the prospect returned grades of up to 3,000 grams per tonne silver, as well as antimony mineralisation of up to 0.7%.

Diablo said the drilling is aimed at previously identified mineralisation at North Star, with the company highlighting the combination of surface vein targets and proximal geophysical anomalies within the broader Star Range Critical Minerals Project. The work adds a new drill-testing phase to earlier exploration results, providing a direct follow-up to the sampling and geophysical work already completed at the prospect.
