Crypto funds took in $3.2 billion last week, marking the sector’s largest weekly inflow since October 2025.
The data, cited by The Kobeissi Letter, shows that investors are allocating money to both crypto and gold funds at the same time, underscoring that the inflows are part of a broader move into alternative assets rather than a single-asset story.
BlackRock’s IBIT led the market with $928 million in inflows last week. That followed $1.3 billion the previous week, bringing IBIT’s two-week total to more than $2.2 billion.
Bitcoin was not the only asset attracting capital. Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Hyperliquid, and Dogecoin funds also extended their inflow streaks, giving the latest round of flows a wider market footprint.
Four Weeks of Strong Inflows
Crypto funds have now averaged $1.3 billion in weekly inflows for four consecutive weeks. That is the strongest four-week pace the market has seen in about ten months.
The consistency suggests demand has remained steady rather than spiking for just one week, which matters because sustained fund flows are often watched as a sign of persistent allocator interest.
At the same time, the flow data points to a possible rotation away from Bitcoin and toward other digital assets.
Bitcoin Outflows While Altcoin Funds Gain
U.S. Bitcoin funds ended a nine-day streak of inflows and recorded $202 million in outflows during the week.
Even with that red day, Bitcoin funds still posted $925 million in net inflows for the full week. IBIT alone brought in $938 million over the same period.
Ethereum funds showed stronger momentum. They recorded $824 million in weekly inflows, and an additional $102 million came in on August 28, extending Ethereum’s inflow streak to 10 consecutive sessions.
Solana and XRP funds also attracted fresh capital during the same period.
Some analysts have interpreted the pattern as a shift into altcoins. The move appears to be taking place ahead of what traders often call the “September effect.”
Scott Melker, known online as “The Wolf of All Streets,” commented on the shift, saying: “The bid rotated. It did not reverse.”
US Bitcoin ETFs just snapped a 9-day inflow streak. Here's what you need to know: 1) US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $202 million in net outflows on Friday, the first red day in 9 sessions 2) The same week, those funds still took in $925 million 3) BlackRock's IBIT alone took in… pic.twitter.com/kzhxjv4zZx — The Wolf Of All Streets (@scottmelker) August 31, 2026
His comment suggests a change in where capital is flowing, rather than a broad decline in demand across crypto funds.
The latest figures indicate that crypto funds continue to attract money across multiple assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Hyperliquid, and Dogecoin. The four-week average of $1.3 billion in weekly inflows remains intact as of the most recent data, while the split between Bitcoin and altcoin products remains the key flow trend to watch in the coming weeks.
